Below you’ll find a list of frequently asked questions about the DISX platform, services, capabilities and restrictions. Shared mailboxes are included with DISX Pro. You can request that these are set up at either the point of order or at a later date.
Air and Lite – Shared mailboxes are a chargeable extra.
Yes. You may send emails and attachments that are OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE and below to DISX Mail, Air or Lite.
Mailing documents of higher classifications to DISX would be considered a breach of security.
Yes. You can email between DISX Air, DISX Lite, DISX Mail and DISX Pro
Yes. You may send emails and attachments that are OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE and below to DISX Mail, DISX Air or DISX Lite to other systems. However, if the emails/attachments you wish to send are OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE, DISX will block you from sending those emails to other systems if DISX does not recognise them as being authorised to handle OFFICIAL-Sensitive items.
DISX whitelists relevant domains, so if you believe that a system being blocked by DISX should be able to accept OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE, please raise this with DISX Support.
A DISX cloud PC is a virtual access method to the DISX Secure Environment. The DISX Cloud PC is accessible directly from customer provisioned laptops through a browser.
No. Each user that requires a cloud PC will need their own dedicated cloud pc.
Using a DISX virtual desktop as the access method to the DISX environment eliminates the need to carry around a secondary secure physical device.
DISX Cloud PCs do not support USB access. If you have a requirement to import and export data, you will need at least one “DISX” physical device .
All DISX users require a minimum of BPSS. SC clearance is required for access to RLI web services.
Yes. You can purchase additional users anytime during the contract however, you cannot reduce that number until the contract renewal date. Any uplift will be pro-rated to align to the end of the core DISX contract.
While we have the capability to install third party client applications into the DISX Pro environment, this is subject to a detailed assessment for security and technical operability. Application assessments, implementation and support will occur additional fees.
Air/Lite
No. We can supply a secure USB storage (charges apply) for you to use, but we do not setup customer supplied USB drives.
Pro
Yes as a chargeable option, but it must meet certain minimum standards. Contact the Service Desk for guidance.
Mail/Air/Lite
No. This option is not offered for DISX Mail, Air or Lite.
Pro
Yes. Desktop PCs can be provided with DISX Pro.
DISX Mail only works with your own system and hardware.
DISX Air/Lite. Yes. You can provide your own Laptop for use with DISX. Setup and configuration fees apply.
No, MS Project is not included with either the web based M365, or M365 desktop. It can be ordered it as an option. Additional License Bundle 2 (MS Project)
No. MS Visio is not included with either the web based M365, or M365 desktop. You can order it as an option – Additional License Bundle 3 (Visio)
Mail: The endpoint for DISX Mail is your own hardware (PC or Phone). If you can print other items, you will be able to print emails from DISX Mail.
Air/Lite: You can print from DISX Air/Lite through a DISX Laptop and a printer supplied by Logiq.
The printer will be connected to Laptop via a USB connection.
Only someone logged on to that Laptop will be able to print from that printer.
Mail: Mail is a mail service added to your own system, so you can print from DISX emails using your existing printing facilities.
Air/Lite: All printers used for Air and Lite must be supplied by Loqiq and can only be used when attached directly to a DISX Laptop.
Pro: DISX Pro supports using your own printers. We will rebuild your printer to meet DISX secure standards. Installation and configuration fees are applicable.
While DISX adheres to and exceeds all of the necessary criteria demanded by Cyber Essentials Plus, certfication is not included as standard. As a Cyber Essentials certification body DISX can help organisations with their own Cyber Essentials as an optional and chargeable service.
